TADINADA VARA PRASAD, popularly known as NUTAN PRASAD a character actor was born on 12, December 1945, Kaikaluru of Krishna District and died 30 March 2011 at Hyderabad. He started acting in the films with the movie ANDALA RAMUDU directed by BAPU in the year 1973. NUTAN PRASAD known as’’ NOOTOKKA JILLALA ANDAGADU’’( The most handsome man in 101 districts) for one such dialogue that he uttered in a film Chali Cheemalu. His dialogues audio cassettes were released those days.
Kasturi Satyanarayana a wealthy man’s character in” Aha Naa Pellanta “ directed by Jandhyala in 1987 was played by Nutan Prasad. Who has a habit of explaining about his family tree whether others ask for it or not? Satyanarayana’s only son Krishnamurthy (Rajendra Prasad) falls in love with Padma (Rajini) daughter of a noted miser father Lakshmipathy (Kota Srinivasa Rao). He disapproves while he comes to know about Padma”s miser father and also for not having faith in love marriages. After a heated discussion, he puts a condition to Krishna Murthy not to reveal his identity and marry her as a common man but not as a wealthy son of Kasturi Satyanarayana, as he knows the greediness of Lakshmipathy. Krishnamurthy takes it as a challenge and he will be on the pursuit, curious Satyanarayana approaches Lakshmipathy and stays with him and start creating hurdles for his son. Krishna acts as a miser and impress Lakshmipathy, and succeed after a long melodrama. This was one of the memorable roles created by Jandhyala though it’s adapted from a novel Satyam Gari Illu, you can still see Jandhyala’s mark on this character.
Some of Nutan Prasad memorable roles was in “RAJADHI RAJU” in which he plays SATAN role and dances for “Kotta Devudandi Kongatta Devudandi” His acting career reached its peak with this movie.
In 1989, while shooting for the film” BAMMA MAATA BANGARU BAATA”, He had an accident and broke his spinal cord. This left him paralyzed from the waist down and he had used to the wheelchair. Once in a while, he appeared in guest roles in a wheelchair.
As the artiste had issues with his voice at that time. Later on, Nutan Prasad became the narrator of the hit crime reality show in ETV-2 Neralu Ghoralu. He was quite appreciated by the Telugu TV audience for his part in Neralu Ghoralu.
