TELUGU360 (Rating: 2.25/5):

Maruthi’s core idea is interesting- mixing fantasy with horror- but the execution does not match the ambition. The lack of strong horror elements is disappointing, and the usual comic timing seen in Maruthi’s films is missing. This is a pan-India film made with Prabhas, and the team has claimed a massive budget and a global-scale horror fantasy. However, the final output does not reflect that scale or substance. Overall, Raja Saab is a below-average film..

INDIAN EXPRESS (Rating: 2/5):

The Raja Saab is an unintended labyrinth that has a few bright spots scattered across. Had the film capitalised on its strong premise and used simplicity to lean into it, the other shortcomings could have been merrily overlooked. Instead, in total contrast, it pushes the limits of frivolity and makes one unconvincing decision after another throughout its length, as though it is testing its audience’s loyalty.

MIRCHI9 (Rating: 2.25/5):

Overall, The Raja Saab is a horror fantasy that works in some areas but never entirely comes together. Prabhas’ attempt at comedy is honest but not very good. The female characters aren’t well written, and the movie is lethargic and has difficulties with tone. There are some interesting sequences in the second half, but they aren’t enough to make the experience better. If you don’t expect much from the movie, it might just be good for die-hard Prabhas fans or folks who appreciate that kind of movie.

123TELUGU.com (Rating: 2.75/5):

On the whole, The Raja Saab is a horror fantasy that works only in bits and never comes together as a cohesive whole. Prabhas’ attempt at comedy is sincere but inconsistent. The female characters are underwritten, while pacing issues, tonal imbalance, and weak storytelling weigh the film down. Though the second half offers a few engaging moments, they are too sparse to elevate the overall experience. The comedy works sporadically, making this film suitable only for die-hard Prabhas fans or viewers inclined toward the genre, provided expectations are kept firmly in check.

Times Of India (Rating: 2.5/5):

Prabhas’ attempt to come up with a lighter vein film among the big-budget extravagant movies he’s doing, ended up being neither a comedy film, nor a horror film. Overall, The Raja Saab, is uninspiring, unexciting and uninteresting. The film may find it very difficult to sustain even for a few days at the box office. A forgettable film for Prabhas, Maruthi and team.
