Tikkavarapu Venkata Ramana Reddy was a popular character artist,comedian, and producer of early days Telugu Film Industry. He was born on 1 October 1921, at Jagadevi Pet, Nellore dist of Andhra Pradesh and died 11 November 1974 at Chennai. Ramana Reddy is regarded as one of the finest comic actors of India. He and Relangi were a comedy DOUBLE ACT during the era of early Tollywood. Ramana Reddy is the paternal uncle of Indian Politician and Filmmaker KALABANDHU T. Subbarami Reddy.While acting in the role of a magician in the movie Akka Chellelu 1957 he actually learned the art of Magic as a hobby. He gave more than 100 magic performances, mostly in aid of educational institutions and voluntary organizations. He was the follower of Dr.A.T.Kovoor a magician of those days.
