LANKA BHADRADRI SRIRAM AS RUDRA SWAMY

LANKA BHADRADRI SRIRAM in short, L.B.Sriram is a Telugu film character actor, comedian, dialogue writer, screenwriter, producer and thespian known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu drama. He made his silver screen debut with April 1 Vidudala of VAMSY in 1991. He was introduced to director Vamsi by actor Mallikarjuna Rao (Battala Satti).

Sontha Vooru is a film about the rural life and the how innocent villagers continuously exploited by the developmental programmes of the government. The film portrays the special economic zones and its impact on the normal life of the victims. L.B.Sriram played a role as RUDRA SWAMY a cremation ground undertaker(Kati Kapari) in a small village. Devudu Babu(Tanikella Bharani) is an educated elder of the village who renders a lot of respect from villagers. Devudu Babu will convince the villagers to sell their lands for an SEZ. He makes a lot of money out of it. The metaphor of using  Rudraswamy character, who sees the village dying in front of him morally and socially. While his profession makes him depend on the physically dead for a living was interesting. He takes a secret assignment of a cremating group of people who died under the debris of SEZ constructions. He demands a Lakh of rupees and having done the cremation he takes away a T-shirt of a dead body with” Che Guevara” photo,  he wears it and goes to the Devudu Babu with a lot of frustration. He expresses his frustration to Devudu will give him another lakh of rupees, Rudra adds his one lakh to that, and he urges Devudu to make the village alive. Devudu abuses and warns him, but the blood boiled Rudra will beat him to death. Ultimately villagers will stone him to death. L.B.Sriram does the best role of his career in an extremely convincing manner with deeper philosophical dialogues. The attire and body language and his diction are quite different from the regular one.
