Pushpa 2 is the third highest-grossing Indian film worldwide, and the highest-grossing Indian film globally in the post-COVID era. It has surpassed the lifetime worldwide total of RRR and KGF: Chapter 2.

Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu was originally considered for the role of Pushpa, but he backed out due to creative differences. Left with no choice director Sukumar later gets a nod from Allu Arjun for Pushpa which got him the National Award and made him the ICON STAR.
