Synopsis:

Animal is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film edited and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who also co-write it with Pranay Reddy Vanga and Saurabh Gupta.

Animal doesn’t live up to the expectations of Arjun Reddy cult. It is intense and gore which appeals only to a limited section. Being unable to come up with a creative story, Mr. Vanga stuffed the film with his pervert, sex maniac mind and with vomiting level dose violence. Instead of being organically different if you try forcibly to be different, the end result is Animal.

Overall, ‘Animal’ offers an engaging and refreshing first half with intense action sequences in the interval. However, the second half completely derails and goes overboard, never finding its way back on track. Give it a try if you’re familiar with the director’s style from ‘Arjun Reddy,’ but keep your expectations considerably low this time.

Ranbir Kapoor gave an award-worthy performance, and he is the heart and soul of Animal. The technical aspects are solid in Animal, but Bobby Deol’s characterization could have been written better. If you like films that are unconventional and high on heroism, then you can watch Animal.
