In 1960s Dasari Narayana Rao has got an opportunity to act in a movie by name Andam Kosam Pandem when he was a stage artist and private employee at Hyderabad. He was selected as the main comedian, but they have changed him to a sidekick of the comedian. Dasari was not prepared to do it, so he continued there in the production department and worked as an assistant to writers. He also worked as an assistant to writer VETURI. He had an unforgettable experience those days when he was offered to drink alcohol for which he has not habituated, he rejected the offer. Which made one of the group members furious and challenged Dasari to continue as he can without touching alcohol in the film industry. Dasari took it seriously and he never touched alcohol. The challenge helped him to continue the same and became DARSAKARATNA. Dasari has become a WORKAHOLIC rather than an Alcoholic.
