It was 1956, at a concert organized by M.S.Viswanathan and Ramamurthy duo in a place called Salem of Tamilnadu, Ghantasala revealed for the first time that the song JAGAME MAAYA of Devadasu movie was composed by M.S.Viswanathan instead of C.R.Subbaraman.While the movie was still under production it’s music director C.R.Subbaraman, who was just 38 years expired suddenly. By then he composed tunes for seven songs out of nine songs. His assistants M.S.Viswanathan and T.K.Ramamurthy then chipped in to complete the job left by their master. That is how JAGAME MAAYA song was one of the two remaining songs was composed by M.S.Viswanathan with the assistance of Ramamurthy.
