PRAKASH RAI is very well known as PRAKASH RAJ, is an Indian Actor, film director, producer, thespian and television presenter who is known for his works in the South Indian film industry and Hindi films. He is born on 26, March 1965, at Bangalore, Karnataka. After working in the Kannada television industry and Kannada cinema for a few years, He made debut in Tamil movie Duet 1994 directed by K.Balachander.He has played a variety of roles, most notably the antagonist and, of late, as a character actor. The audience will never feel him as other language actors because of his multilingual fluency. He is an “ALL INDIA ACTOR” because he broke the barriers of language.
The film Tagore is about a professor who decides to eradicate corruption altogether in the society at various levels, He creates fear among the corrupt officials, the protagonist role played by Chiranjeevi, an honest police constable role played by PRAKASH RAJ as SURYAM. He will become a small angler of catch in the hunt of a person killing corrupt people. Suryam is an IPS qualified guy, the corrupt system made him a constable having a lot of intelligence and goal, ignored by the system and his higher officials, because of the hierarchy. He will take up this case on his own and he will find out the list of non-corrupt officers in Govt., departments. He tries to figure out what is the common thing which unites them under one roof. He finally finds out that they are all alumni of National College and working for Tagore’s ACF (anti-corruption Force). so many methods will be followed in war logistics, the popular one is” DRYING OUT THE SOURCES” Suryam will achieve this, with the help of a special officer by catching the members of ACF. The tortured members of ACF won’t reveal the identity but Tagore surrenders himself to stop the violence against the members. Suryam will meet Tagore when he was brought to the court, Suryam expresses him sorry for figuring him out, but to the surprise of Suryam, Tagore appreciates his sincerity and urges him to continue the same spirit.

As a producer, he has won a National Award for the best feature film in Kannada for” PUTTAKKANA Highway” directed by his longtime theatre friend B.Suresh in 2011.
