Top Reviewers:
TELUGU 360 (Rating: 2.5/5):
Pottel is a technically sound film. The producers should be appreciated for their grand production values throughout the film. The cinematography work, music and the art work are good. All the songs are melodious and the climax song offers goosebumps. The violence in the second half is beyond the limits. A better second half would have done wonders for a film like Pottel. Keeping the commercial aspects aside, Pottel will surely get a number of awards.
Great Andhra (Rating: 2/5):
Pottel belongs to that category of movies where the premise and beginning are interesting but the movie lacks in landing an impact and in execution.
Mirchi9 (Rating: 2.25/5):
Overall, Pottel is an honest effort with a neat climax, but the rest feels like a familiar template, leading to considerable boredom—there’s nothing fresh to experience.
123TELUGU (Rating: 2.75/5):
Overall, Pottel is a passable village drama with a solid backdrop and a meaningful social message. Ajay delivers his career-best performance, but the slow pace and routine scenes disrupt the flow of the film. There’s no denying that Pottel is an honest attempt, and those who enjoy social dramas with a realistic appeal can give this film a shot.
Times Of India (Rating: 2.5/5):
“Pottel” ultimately falls short of its potential due to its predictable plot and the overemphasis on violence. While it presents a timely message about the importance of education, it could have benefited from a more nuanced approach and greater focus on character development.
