A Doctor turns into a serial killer to avenge the rape and murder of his daughter, the role was played by Roja as a choice of Paruchuri Gopalakrishna. Paruchuri Gopalakrishna was invited by Dr.Siva Prasad who is a producer, director, and Character actor to watch songs of Prema Tapassu produced by him, actress Roja debuted through that movie. Paruchuri was impressed by the innocent face and smile of Roja, he recommended her for daughter role in Sarpayagam movie. D. Ramanaidu producer of the movie was reluctant because of her dark complexion, Sobhan Babu is playing her father”s role. Paruchuri has gone to the extent of quitting from direction if she is not given chance. D. Ramanaidu was having Meena in his mind, he came to Paruchuri after two days of the shoot with his old Proposal, but Paruchuri having confidence in Roja, requested Naidu to continue her.
