PALLETURI PILLA 1949, is the first film of N.T.Rama Rao in the lead role, for an action sequence NTR refused to let the director employ a stunt double and fought with a violent bull himself. The director B.A.Subba Rao told NTR only to hold the horns of the Australian bull he had to fight. But NTR literally fought with the savage bull which ultimately threw him to ground, fracturing his right hand. Despite being told to take rest NTR reported to the shoot the very next day. Two fractures later, NTR was still shooting, wearing full sleeves to cover the bandages. That was dedication he had, which made him a stalwart of Telugu film industry and the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
