Top Reviewers:
TELUGU 360 (Rating: 2/5):
‘Bharateeyudu 2’ is a disappointing sequel that fails to live up to the legacy of its predecessor. Despite its attempts to convey honest messages, the film is bogged down by a lack of genuine emotion and drama. Shankar’s reliance on old screenplay structures makes the film feel stale and uninspired. While the production values are impressive, they cannot compensate for the film’s shortcomings.
Great Andhra (Rating: 2/5):
Overall, Bharateeyudu 2 lacks the strong story and emotion that the original had. Above all, the character of Senapathy is not written well in the sequel and is shown as a mere stuntman for the most part. The comeback of Senapathy sounded curious in the beginning, but his actual visit could not keep it up. Yet again, Bharateeyudu 2 leaves us cliffhanging in the end giving a peek of Bharateeyudu 3 with a trailer.
Mirchi9 (Rating: 1.75/5):
Overall, Shankar should have refrained from making a sequel to one of the best and most powerful social dramas in South Indian history.
123TELUGU (Rating: 2.75/5):
On the whole, Bharateeyudu 2 is a slow but passable film. Compared to the original, it has a few drawbacks, indicating that Shankar has missed the mark. Kamal Haasan is decent, and Siddharth delivers a satisfactory performance. However, the slow-paced screenplay, lack of emotional depth, and mediocre score are significant shortcomings. If you still want to watch it, keep your expectations low.
Times Of India (Rating: 2.5/5):
Kamala Haasan starrer Indian 2 is still an entertaining film that suffers from quite some pros and cons. The film trying to appeal to a younger audience seems to do random things for the sake of being meta. However, the true essence of the movie still has the potential to be uncovered, especially with the next installment.
