India Today (Rating: 4/5):
Dunki might not be Hirani’s best work in comparison to 3 Idiots or PK, but it still entertains and leaves you with a warm and fuzzy feeling as you leave the theatre. Also, what better way to end the year than to have SRK charm you on the silver screen once again
ZOOM TV (Rating: 3/5):
In conclusion, Dunki stands as a cinematic triumph, showcasing Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial brilliance. The film’s seamless blend of genres, coupled with Shah Rukh Khan’s unparalleled performance, propels it into the realm of cinematic excellence. From the laughter-infused first half to the emotionally charged second act, Dunki is an immersive journey that captivates audiences, making it essential viewing for both fans and cinephiles. Rajkumar Hirani, once again, asserts his mastery in storytelling, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of Indian cinema with this groundbreaking film.
Hindustan Times (Rating: 3.25/5):
Overall, Dunki is a film that leaves you with a tearful smile. And if you couldn’t watch Animal with your families for the glorified violence, you must check out Dunki for it’s an absolute family entertainer and will be an emotional riot.
123TELUGU (Rating: 3/5):
On the whole, Dunki deals with an interesting concept, but the execution by Rajkumar Hirani is decent and not great. The humor in the film is very good, but the strong emotions, which used to be the key strength of Rajkumar Hirani are missing a bit in Dunki. There are a few good moments in the second half, but over the end, the film doesn’t give that overwhelming feeling. Shah Rukh Khan does an excellent job, but the movie is also benefitted from the performances of Taapsee, Anil Grover, and Vikram Kochhar. If you are okay with the flaws, then you can give the film a try.
Times Of India (Rating: 4/5):
‘Dunki’ is a film about unfulfilled aspirations and reaching out for dreams beyond means and boundaries. Overall, ‘Dunki’ is a wholesome entertainer that’s rousing, relevant, romantic and about returning to your roots.
