GULTE.com (Rating: 2.25/5):

Overall, right from the word go, everything in ‘Drishyam 3’, feels like a desperate attempt to cash in on the popularity of the franchise among the audience. It surely is a watchable film with a few engaging moments, especially during the second half, but the screenplay and the writing of the film stand miles away when compared to the initial two parts of the franchise. The loyal fanbase of the franchise may give it a try watching in theatres but keep your expectations in check. The Georgekutty in Drishyam 3, goes to any extent to protect his family as always but this time the sharpness in his brain slowed down and failed to thrill the audience. And, the director ended the film by giving a lead to the fourth film in the franchise. Hopefully, Jeethu Joseph, takes his time and comes up with better writing for the fourth part.

MONEYCONTROL.COM (Rating: 2.5/5):

So, does Drishyam 3 deliver thrills? Absolutely. Does it make the franchise proud? Not entirely, though it satisfies many of the expectations surrounding a film of this scale. Would I want to revisit this family? Perhaps not. Instead, I would want Georgekutty’s and Prabhakar’s families to move beyond their trauma and find the peace they have been denied for far too long. The Drishyam universe must learn the art of forgiveness, or it must stop playing with familiar tropes. Otherwise, it risks entering a stage where we no longer care for its fundamentally good-hearted people. And that is a day I certainly do not wish to see.

THE HINDU.COM (Rating: 2.25/5):

What could have turned into a complete disaster is saved by a few intriguing flourishes in the writing and by Mohanlal’s interpretation of Georgekutty’s mindscape. Drishyam 3, the least effective of the three films, does not feel like a page from a thriller series, but rather a peek into the personal diary of someone who has not had a peaceful day in years. But then, there is only so much excitement that can be built from a diary entry. May D3 be the last entry, although the makers teased the possibility of one more in the epilogue.

123TELUGU.COM (Rating: 2.75/5):

On the whole, Drishyam 3 doesn’t match the brilliance of the first and second installments of the franchise and works only in bits and pieces. The first half starts slow, the interval is decent, and the second half initially engages, but as the film moves towards the climax, the impact drops considerably due to the similar screenplay structure experienced before. The twists aren’t solid, and the emotions aren’t presented well. Drishyam 3 is not a bad film, but it doesn’t entirely meet expectations due to the standard that Jeethu Joseph himself set with the past two films.

TIMES OF INDIA (Rating: 2.5/5):

Altogether, Drishyam 3 turns out to be a predictable thriller and offered nothing new. The fault lies with the director Jeethu Joseph and the makers for trying to cash in to the craze of the Drishyam franchise. They offered nothing new when it came to the investigation, thrill factor and emotions. The story didnot excite and the screenplay and direction followed the familiar pattern robbing the viewers of the novel expereince. Obviously Drishyam 3 turns out to be the weakest among all the Drishyam franchises.
