PASUPULETI KANNAMBA, a six feet stunning beauty equally known for her tragic and ferocious characters. Kannamba was an actress,Producer, and singer and starred around 200 movies. She was born on 5, October 1911, at Nandyal of Kurnool District and brought up at Eluru at her Grandparents place. She made her debut through Harischandra movie of P.Pullaiah Director in the year 1935. She is the first actress who has done horse riding and sword fightings, enacted with real tiger cubs in the movie CHANDIKA 1936. She enacted the character of KANNAGI in Tamil she is known as” KANNAGI KANNAMBA” in Tamilnadu She doesn’t have children she adopted a male and female children, her adopted daughter got married with C.S.Rao son of director C. Pullaiah, but C.S.Rao fallen in love with actress Rajasulochana, Kannamba having come to know the affair, she called Rajasulochana and blessed her to marry C.S.Rao, that is how she is known for her generosity. She died during the shoot on the floors while acting Bhakta Ramadasu movie. She was so respected among the film fraternity that at the time of her death total Telugu and Tamil industry attended her funeral because of her generous relation with all the people.
