Son of India ends up as a vain, indulgent exercise that made me wonder what the film’s team was thinking., if they were thinking at all. ?The mission is apparently incomplete and there is more to come. The hint at a sequel sounded like a punishment.

To summerize, Son of India is an outdated drama that explores the life a common man who faces hurdles from the rich people in the society. Though Mohan Babu’s screen presence is fine, the lack of engaging proceedings makes the film a horrible watch.

Most of the actors, for almost three-fourths of the film, are either unseen from the front, or their faces are relentlessly blurred on the pretext of letting the lead man do mono-action. Given this, why didn’t they call the film ‘The Only Son Of India’?
