[qodef_dropcaps type=”square” color=”#ffffff” background_color=””]T[/qodef_dropcaps]elugu director Vijaya Bapineedu who was originally named Gutta Bapineedu Chowdary has died at the age of 82 today morning. Bapineedu has directed a total of 23 movies in his career, starting with Dabbu Dabbu Dabbu (1981) and last Kodukulu (1998).
bapineedu finally took his last breath today in his residence in New MLA Quarters, Banjara Hills.
The director was also credited for making actor Chiranjeevi, the superstar he is today. Bapineedu made Patnam Vachina Pativrathalu, Maga Maharaju, Mahanagaramlo Mayagadu, Hero, Magadheerudu, Khaidi No.786, Gang Leader, Big Boss movies with Chiru. According to the DNA reports, the director had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease for the last four years and was getting treated at the Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad. He finally took his last breath today in his residence in New MLA Quarters, Banjara Hills.
