[qodef_dropcaps type=”square” color=”#ffffff” background_color=””]V[/qodef_dropcaps]eteran actress and filmmaker Vijaya Nirmala died at the age of 73 last night at a private hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. Vijaya Nirmala entered into movies at the age of seven as a child artist with a Tamil movie Machcha Rekhai (1950). She made her Tollywood debut with Rangula Ratnam, and she has acted in over 200 films in Telugu Tamil and Malayalam. She also holds the Guinness Record for being the only woman director to have directed 42 films. Reports say that Tomorrow her body will be kept at the Film Chamber for fans and well-wishers to pay their last respects and her funeral will be held tomorrow evening.
