TELUGU SWAG RATING:
India Glitz (Rating: 3.25/5):
In The Kerala Story, there is no time to relax as the film has serious issues told in a brutal manner. The Kashmir Files was one film which had its own storytelling and agenda and the same happens with The Kerala Story as well. Some will like it immensely and the others will have reservations watching it. But in reality, the film is a hard hitting drama told in a brutal manner.
Great Andhra (Rating: 3/5):
‘The Kerala Story’ deserves a watch by all those who liked ‘The Kashmir Files’. It’s made in a bold and uncompromising manner, and all the artists looked so convincing, offering a realistic experience.
NDTV (Rating: 0.5/5):
That, then, is the story – The Kerala Story is a film so bad that its incompetence would have provided some entertainment had it not played so loose and fast with facts and twisted them to suit its explicit, egregious ends.
India Tv News (Rating: 2/5):
While director Sudipto Sen tries to strike a balance between pain, brutality and religion, he somewhere lacks. An abrupt ending shows a fault in our Intelligence Bureau and defence system. The subject and direction lack the required punch. It isn’t convincing enough to create that uncomfortable stir that is required for a story this horrific and brutal.
Times Of India (Rating: 3/5):
After watching ‘The Kerala Story,’ you may be left with several questions about the current state of the country. This thought-provoking film is disturbing and surely manages to leave an impact.
