Subramanyapuram had a promising beginning, but the interest is not maintained until the end. One doesn’t care, after a point whatever happens onscreen and that’s where the movie fails. It is a below average project thanks to a few intriguing moments in the first half.

On the whole, Subrahmanyapuram is a passable mystery thriller which has some decent thrills. However, the audience has to patiently wait until the pre-interval sequence to experience the actual drama. The film is clearly aimed at the A center and multiplex audience and will please their sensibilities. Finally, all those who have watched Karthikeya would find the setup familiar, but for those who did not, this films ends as a decent watch this weekend.

A pacy narrative could have done the trick here, but the uneven editing lets the film down, so does the cinematography. If there’s something that you will not regret shelling out your hard-earned money for, it’s only Sumanth’s composed performance.
