All in all, “Kousalya Krishnamurthy” is a sincere attempt with good messages but it is also filled with clichéd sequences, and predictable narration.

On the whole, Kausalya Krishnamurthy is an emotional sports drama which has some good moments. Decent family emotions and some interesting cricketing scenes are basic assets. On the flip side, the lengthy runtime, predictable sports-based storyline play spoilsport. If you are okay with these small issues, you can easily give this inspiring film a shot this week.

With over twenty minutes of the run-time dedicated to a cricket match, the director makes it clear that this film is strictly for cricket lovers. But you take the cricket away from this drama and there’s nothing much to take back home. Kousalya Krishnamurthy remains not out, but as a viewer, your only thought is to head back to the pavillion.
