AHA NAA PELLANTA Movie, 1987 produced by D. Rama Naidu, Director Jandhyala a blockbuster, through which Kota Srinivasa Rao emerged as an unmatchable character actor. He played the role of Lakshmipathi, father of heroine, a noted miser character, he portrayed the role with all his ability. The character and his performance became the center of attraction of the movie. But he was not the choice of D.Rama Naidu,” Rao Gopal Rao” was his choice, but Kota was director Jandhyala’s choice. The production cost of the movie was 16 lakhs and collected 30 times to it. Kota Srinivas became a regular star of Suresh Productions, once, Kota was one of the invitees of a floor opening function at Ramanaidu Studios suddenly, Rama Naidu called Kota from the crowd and asked him to open the floor with his hands and also he announced that it is because of his performance as Lakshmipathi in Aha Naa Pellanta movie which has earned a lot of money and made him construct a new floor. Hence Movie Moghul quoted “Kota is the right person, it is not justified if I invite somebody to open the floor” .
