TELUGU SWAG RATING:
TELUGU 360 (Rating: 2.5/5):
‘Check’ checkmates the audience into thinking that logic and Yeleti may not always go hand in hand. Expect some unintentionally funny moments.
Great Andhra (Rating: 2.25/5):
All in all, Nithin’s “Check” leaves us with mixed feelings. It is a prison drama with a twist and chess game, but the narration is not at all engaging enough.
Mirchi9 (Rating: 2.5/5):
Overall, Check has a weak plot, but there are engaging moments here and there. Its main issue is flat and dull execution with no sense of pain or excitement, thereby lacking gripping and intense narrative. Give it a try if you want to see something out of the routine.
123TELUGU (Rating: 2.75/5):
On the whole, Check is a serious sports drama with a crime backdrop. The setup is good and Nithin does well to hold the attention. But a slow pace in the second half and lack of grip in the emotions are a few demerits. Barring this, if you lower your expectations and watch the film, Check ends as a passable watch this weekend.
Times Of India (Rating: 2.5/5):
Check has the potential to be an engaging prison drama but falters in portions it’s supposed to excel in. It does have good bits and potential, but if you’re a fan of engaging prison dramas, it might leave you wanting. And despite it all, to his credit, Yeleti does make you want to stay invested till the end.
