Before AND After Gruhalakshmi!

GRUHALAKSHMI  is a 1938 Telugu Film produced and directed by H.M.REDDY (Hanumappa Muniyappa Reddy) It was the maiden film for Rohini Pictures, the film was an adaptation of a popular stage play Rangoon Rowdy written by Somaraju Ramanuja Rao. H.M.Reddy about start his own production house, he initiated BOMMIREDDY NARASIMHA REDDY to join him, while H.M.Reddy was making his movie Kanaka Tara. B.N.Reddy invited his schoolmate Brijmohan along with him, he also initiated MOOLA NARAYANA SWAMY who was a wealthy man known as Birlas of Rayalaseema those days. Then this Narayana Swamy invited his friend KADIRI VENKATA REDDY who is ideal after his graduation.

Meanwhile, H.M.Reddy called a cine critic who criticized his previous movie Draupadi Vastrapaharanam, a youngster by name KAMALAKARA KAMESWARA RAO. Once everyone is on board they started a production company by name ROHINI PICTURES  and started a movie GRUHALAKSHMI in 1938. M.L.N.REDDY and B.N.REDDY remained as co-producers, K.V.REDDY as a cashier and KAMALAKARA KAMESWARA RAO as an assistant in direction department under the captaincy of  H.M.REDDY.
