Top Reviewers:

TELUGU360.COM (Rating: 3.25/5):

Irumudi is a deeply emotional film with a powerful social message and an outstanding Ravi Teja performance at its heart. Despite a few conventional portions, the father-daughter emotion and terrific climax leave a lasting impact. A film that touches the heart and has all the potential to become a commercial blockbuster as well. Definitely worth watching with your family.

MIRCHI9 (Rating: 2.75/5):

By the time we walk out of the theater, the film leaves us with a heavy emotional feeling, proving that its central emotion has worked effectively. In short, Irumudi succeeds through its strong emotional core and a couple of effective twists, while the thriller thread remains its weakest link. Still, the deeply moving climax and heartfelt father-daughter relationship make the film worth watching.

GULTE.COM (Rating: 3/5):

Overall, kudos to Raviteja and Shiva Nirvana for choosing a socially relevant subject and telling it honestly without deviating from the core point. If you are a parent of a girl child, the film will prompt you to reflect and may lead you to make some changes in your current parenting approach. Shiva Nirvana should be appreciated for coming up with such an empowering & hard-hitting film. At no point does the film get into the zone of being preachy. It is thought-provoking and yet entertaining to a large extent. Raviteja is most likely to earn a lot of respect for doing ‘Irumudi’. Let’s hope that he continues to do similar story-driven films going forward. If you are a parent, go watch the film. It will surely make you leave the theatre with a heavy heart. Especially the climax, is sure to make you teary-eyed.

123TELUGU.COM (Rating: 3.5/5):

On the whole, Irumudi is a beautiful emotional ride laced with intense moments and honest storytelling. The Ayyappa Swamy backdrop, father-daughter emotion, Ravi Teja’s spellbinding performance, and, most importantly, the screenplay that stays true to its subject make Irumudi an impactful film. There are a few slow moments, and the themes explored aren’t unique, but the sincere and emotional storytelling overpowers the minor flaws. Ravi Teja is back with a bang. Go for it.

TIMES OF INDIA (Rating: 3.25/5):

“Irumudi” emerges as a satisfactory slow-burn emotional thriller, marking one of the most sincere star-hero films in recent times with no commercial deviations. The first half, though slow-paced, builds a strong emotional connect through the father-daughter bond, while the second half works in parts despite convenient writing and villains that feel overly cruel for shock value. The thriller portions are not always logically sharp, but the emotional core remains intact and the climax lands powerfully, leaving audiences in tears. Ravi Teja delivers his best performance in recent times, setting aside his mass-hero image to fully surrender to the script, while Nakshatra impresses with a superb act. The film is expected to earn goodwill and appreciation for director Shiva Nirvana and Mythri Movie Makers.
