Top Reviewers:

TELUGU360 (Rating: 2.5/5):

“Akhanda 2: Thaandavam” neither captures the spiritual intensity nor evokes the patriotic fervor it aims for. The film lacks the mass appeal of the first installment. Boyapati’s script and direction fall short. Apart from a couple of moments in the second half and Balakrishna’s riveting performance, “Akhanda 2” struggles to make an impact. Is it anywhere close to the first Akhanda? Not at all. It has devotional elements but lacks emotional connect.

GREAT ANDHRA (Rating: 2/5):

But for all its flaws, one man holds the film together: Thaman. This is his year, and Akhanda 2 benefits enormously from it. His damru beats, chants, mass percussion, and ritualistic soundscape elevate scenes that would otherwise collapse under their own weight. Without Thaman, this film simply wouldn’t work.

MIRCHI9 (Rating: 2.25/5):

Overall, after a watchable first half, the film completely lost track in the second half. NBK did his best & the producers seemed to have provided all the resources but the uninspiring & clueless execution from Boyapati Srinu made Akhanda 2, a wasted opportunity. Right from the very first sequence, it appeared as if like a desperate attempt to make money using the success of the first part but it ended up becoming a cringeworthy sequel with pointless execution. After three back-to-back successful films, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu came up with a damp squib. A disappointing film to say the least.

123TELUGU.com (Rating: 3/5):

On the whole, Akhanda 2 is a watchable devotional action drama that relies heavily on Balakrishna’s commanding performance as Akhanda. The story is predictable and several character arcs lack depth, but the music, action blocks, and a few emotional moments keep the film engaging. It is slightly less engaging than the first part, yet it still works as a functional mass entertainer with moments that fans are likely to enjoy.

Times Of India (Rating: 2.5/5):

Altogether, Akhanda 2 Thaandavam turns out to be mass entertainer with a spiritual touch. Boyapati Sreenu showed Balakrishna in out and out mass role and he delighted all the fans by showing him as Aghora and spreading spirituality and sending powerful message in a action entertainer. But he lost the plot as the story turned out to be pretty ordinary. Except for Balakrishna’s Aghora role, the film offered nothing new and over the top action sequences and lengthy, preachy dialogues dampened the spirits. Little finetuning of the script, powerful elements would have added more firepower to this mass sanatana dharma entertainer.
