TELUGU SWAG RATING:
Top Reviewers:
TELUGU 360 (Rating: 2.75/5):
‘Akhanda’ caters to the targetted segment of Fans and Masses. First half has some good mass elements, and second half is full of action sequences without much story. Balayya’s Akhanda character’s ferocious performance, Thaman’s outstanding background score , Jai Balayya Songs are the plus.
Great Andhra (Rating: 2.75/5):
Akhanda is a mass drama typical of Boyapati Srinu. He designed the two characters of Balakrishna well and he does them justice. The dialogue pleases the crowd as much as the fans. The end result is that Akhanda is an action movie that feels really long. The routine storyline and back-to-back heavy action scenes are exhausting at the end.
Mirchi9 (Rating: 2.5/5):
Overall, Akhanda is a below-par actioner that is mainly saved by Balakrishna’s histrionics. It majorly appeals to the hardcore action movie buffs who don’t mind lengthy action sequences but will get others tired. It makes Akhanda a strictly for fans affair and passable (at best) mass fare.
123TELUGU (Rating: 3.25/5):
On the whole, Akhanda is a feast for hardcore fans and Balayya gives them ample moments to cherish with his stunning act. The story is dull and violence in the second half is in excess. Akhanda is a kind of film that the class audience might have issues with. But as it has been a long time since a biggie has come out in theatres, the masses will surely lap it up as Akhanda is filled with Balayya’s mass masala avatar like never before.
Times Of India (Rating: 2/5):
Don’t expect too much from Srikanth’s villain character. The writing is somewhat stale here. The Aghora scenes get their act together and that’s a plus. ‘Akhanda’ is an average movie. Don’t go by the hyped-up promotions.
