Top Reviewers:
TELUGU 360 (Rating: 1.25/5):
‘Phalana Abbayi ..’ is a poorly narrated film that is even slower than the old-school Doordarshan documentary. The conflict point has not been conveyed properly. Except for the hero and heroine, the rest of the casting is terrible. Overall, avoidable film.
Great Andhra (Rating: 2/5):
Avasarala Srinivas’s aimless direction and poor writing turn what could have been a decent romantic comedy, especially in the first half, into a tedious slog. Everything that happens in the second half is a complete mess.
Mirchi9 (Rating: 2.25/5):
Overall, Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi is a simple-looking but difficult-to-execute rom-com featuring limited characters. It works in parts in both halves but fails to leave a mark as a whole due to weak drama and a flat narrative. If you like a slice-of-life drama with a romantic background, try it, but keep the expectations in check.
123TELUGU (Rating: 2.5/5):
On the whole, Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi is a boring love drama that lacks a proper narration. Naga Shaurya and Malavika Nair performed well. Except for very few lovely and comedy scenes, the film has nothing much to offer. Those who love slow-paced love dramas may connect to the story. Otherwise, it’s better to look out for alternatives this weekend.
Times Of India (Rating: 2.75/5):
This family entertainer works in parts but disappoints as a package because of its archaic storytelling and banal humour in the second half. However, the film has decent performances and production values.
