Movie LAKSHADHIKARI 1963 produced by Tammareddy Krishnamurthy, a debut for him, directed by V.Madhusudhana Rao, starred N.T.Rama Rao, Krishna Kumari, and Gummadi. Both Krishna Kumari and NTR acted in 11 films each in 1963. They starred together in five of them.A song was filmed on Krishna Kumari, wearing a swimsuit at the Guindy Engineering College swimming pool but the censors deleted it citing that the heroine should not wear a swimsuit. At the end of the song, “Mabbulo Emundi” the lead pair had to walk hand in hand on the seashore. As they were walking, a giant wave swept them away. Krishna Kumari did not know swimming and she was drowning. However, NTR held her hand tight and saved her. Recalling the incident Krishna Kumari then said it was like a rebirth to her. Gummadi played an antagonist role in this movie. Producer Tammareddy Krishnamurthy is the father of Tammareddy Bharadwaja.
