TELUGU SWAG RATING:
Top Reviewers:
TELUGU 360 (Rating: 2.75/5):
Mr Majnu is an average fare on a whole. Akhil Akkineni has been succeeded in a role which is apt for his age. Director Venky is able to engage family audience with emotional scenes in first half, passes in setting up the right conflict point towards the Interval, but falls short in conflict resolution in 2nd half. Overall, this film has mix of family and youthful elements, you may give it a try

Mirchi9 (Rating: 2.5/5):
In the whole, Mr Majnu is more of Tholi Prema universe with less heart and emotional fulfilment. It is just like the audio review we wrote, as a standalone (with no Tholi Prema comparison) this might have got a better reaction but with the inevitable comparison, Mr Majnu falls short. It is a passable film on its own.”
123TELUGU (Rating: 2.75/5):
On the whole, Mr. Majnu is a contemporary love story which has a decent set up. But the lack of emotional connect in the love story takes things down in the second half. The lead pair does extremely well and hold the proceedings along with some decent comedy which clicks here and there. Novelty wise, there is nothing new in this film and we suggest you keep your expectations in check and go in with the flow of the film which ends as a below average fare this weekend.
Times Of India (Rating: 2/5):
It’s Akhil who steadies this rocky ship, while composer Thaman remains the unsung hero of the film for its terrific music score. Be it energy, melody or a sense of calm, Thaman’s music is a perfect anchor to the film’s story. Mr Majnu may not be as heartwarming as Tholi Prema, but has every element in it to make for an engaging watch at the cinemas.
