Adavi ramudu is the first movie for which ntr had given dates for more than a month out of madras as this movie was shot completely in madumalai forest except for opening shot.

Adavi ramudu is ntr’s first color film shot in cinemascope and interestingly it is the first cinemascope lens imported from japan by prasad labs.

This film was a blockbuster hit and is the first telugu film to collect rs.4 crore (40 million) which was a very huge amount in 1977.

As producers could not accommodate 300 plus cast & crew in that dense forest, they built new guesthouses and took special permission for electricity in the middle of forest which had nearest town 250km away.

Jayasudha got lot of letters after the film’s release from her fans requesting her not to do a second lead role again in any of her movies even though she had an important role in this movie.
